The One and Only Kentucky State Fair

This post is for those of you who have never had the honor and privilege of attending the Kentucky State Fair. The photos below are from the fair's midway, and my focus was put particularly on the people who work it. I enjoyed the bright colors on the midway, and the colorful people who were on it. My only advice when visiting the fair is just simply wash your hands often. If you don't then you might regret it.

A New Quarter

A new quarter started today at Ohio University, and I have to say I am quite excited. I cannot wait to see what this quarter will bring, along with the growth of my photography skills. When I arrived yesterday it was snowing, and it has not stopped since. Athens is beautiful under a blanket of snow, and when it stops I hope to be able to shoot more of the scenery.

Little Caesars Pizza Bowl

Here are a few pictures from this years Little Caesars Pizza Bowl in Detroit. Ohio was beaten by Marshall 21-17, and in the game played at Ford Field. I'd like to thank Kyle for all of the help, Joel for the teleconverter, and my Dad for driving up. It was a good experience, and I hope to shoot more bowl games in the future.

Cyclocross

These are some images from back in November when I was really sick. Despite being very ill at the time, I still trekked out to a cyclocross race to shoot. It was a nice day, but it involved some very harsh light. It was a fun event to shoot, and I look forward to attending more races in the future.

Favorite Frame of Fall Quarter

After my first quarter at Ohio University, and thousands of pictures later, I have decided on this one frame as my favorite. It is not necessarily my best picture, but I like it for many different reasons. It was shot at Skatopia in Rutland Ohio, a place I have always wanted to visit. I enjoy the layering of different elements in the photo. I hope to improve even more next quarter, and I look forward to more shooting.
